Special products for therapeutic and preventive nutrition

Specialized products for therapeutic and preventive nutrition are food products that have a certain chemical composition. They are obtained by substitution or enrichment of micro- and macronutrients with various food constituents. Product lines are created for different categories of the population (for example, athletes, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, etc.).

Similar products can be divided into several main groups depending on what active ingredients are included in their composition:

• protein;
• fat burning;
• vitamin-mineral;
• amino acid;
• carbohydrate;
• mixed.

Therapeutic diet is designed to meet the needs of the organism in certain substances (taking into account main and accompanying diseases).  It is used both for prophylaxis and for therapeutic purposes.
